Schalenblende and Sterling Silver Pendant on Beaded Necklace

Schalenblende doesn’t appear very often and it’s a truly beautiful and remarkable stone! It’s a combination of soft golden buff, brown, and silvery metallic, made up of layers of Pyrite, Galena, Marcasite, Sphalerite and Wurtzite. It has a lovely grounding quality and works primarily with the lower three chakras; this pendant rests over the solar plexus. The metaphysical properties are varied and I encourage you to look them up and see what resonates with you. The stones work differently with everybody! The cab is one of a kind and was carved by Gary Wilson.

I’ve set it in a backless bezel so you can more readily receive the vibrational benefits of this stone. It’s in my primal desert-rustic style, all sterling silver which has been hammered on desert rock, and shows scratches, seams and solder runs to evoke natural process. All of it is handmade and hand finished.

The strand of beads is made with spherical faceted pyrite, oxidized brass barrels and antique French metal beads strung on silk. A small Thai silver bead is at the juncture above the pendant.

SIZE: The beaded necklace is 27” long. The pendant is 2 5/8” x 1 1/4”.

CARE: Rinse in cool water to clean and gently blot dry with a towel. Sphalerite is a softer stone: please protect from impacts. The silver can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth.

PACKAGING: This necklace will arrive giftwrapped in hand-decorated, Earth-friendly packaging, wrapped inside an organic cotton pouch. Please reuse or recycle the wrappings.
