SHOP POLICY
My Desert Talismans website and shop are managed entirely by myself, out of my home studio in Placitas in north central New Mexico. Each one of my talismans holds my good intentions and blessing. I make all of my pieces carefully by hand, one at a time, and everything is one-of-a-kind.
RESERVATIONS AND COMMISSIONS
Sorry, no holds can be made on any item.
My creative process is deeply intuitive and as a result, I do not accept commission work or alter existing designs.
RETURNS
Please read the item description very carefully before buying. Each listing includes information about materials, size, and care. You should know your ring size. If the piece you are interested in is heavy or delicate it will say so in the listing. If you would like more information about a piece, please contact me before ordering.
Returns will be accepted on a case-by-case basis only. You must contact me prior to making the return. Please do not return any item without approval by me.
Items must be returned to me in their original packaging and condition, and with all accompanying labels and articles, within 7 days for a full refund, less cost of shipping and transaction fees. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
CANCELLATIONS
I reserve the right to deny or cancel a sale of an item at my discretion.
SHIPPING
Shipping costs are included in the price of every item. All items are giftwrapped, carefully packaged, and shipped via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. At this time, I am only shipping orders within the U.S. and they will be shipped free of charge. Your order will be shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt of payment.
PACKAGING AND PRESENTATION
I decorate all of my own packaging using recycled and eco-friendly materials whenever possible. Right now I am using high quality organic cotton pouches (which are great for storing your talismans) with recycled tissue paper and pillow boxes. Every talisman will arrive carefully gift wrapped in packaging that I hand-decorated...I age my own paper and even cut my own stamps! Each one will be a little different, depending on what I am using at the time. My stamped designs are based upon ancient Southwestern rock art.
A handwritten gift label accompanies each piece detailing its components. Spirit Beads arrive with their own information sheet describing what they are and suggestions for their use.
Please keep the cycle going! I encourage you to reuse or recycle all of my packaging items.
CARE & REPAIR
I care deeply about the quality of my work and want you to be very happy with it. I do my best to ensure that each piece is comfortable and sits well. Although I often use unconventional materials and techniques, I do everything I can to make the talismans as solidly as possible. Should a piece break in the course of everyday wear, I will also do my best to repair it free of charge...but be aware that many components are unique and irreplaceable.
SIZING & ALTERATIONS
Rings and bracelets cannot be re-sized. All of my pieces are made with a certain sense of balance and proportion between the elements which would be destroyed if the piece were altered. Because of this, what you see is what you get, and I will not change earwires, necklaces, etc.
ECO-FRIENDLY
I run a pretty green business, all things considered. I try to be mindful and respectful of my materials and equipment, am careful about my sourcing, and produce as little waste and use as few toxic materials as possible. Most of my work is done with simple hand tools in natural daylight. I recycle all metals and repurpose everything I can.
